Off to Florida again. This time for more than just fun in the sun. We snuck off just before the Thanksgiving travel rush. Clearly the turkey and gravy were my focus but the family had other plans: roadtripping to the most happiest place in world. Yup. The Herreras did Disney pre-turkey day.

We hopped into the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander and after some mid-afternoon cortaditos (a driver needs his coffee strong) we were off. It was a smooth ride.

The Outlander sports a great 7-inch touch screen- a very user friendly command center. Phones were easily linked to show off its impressive speaker system. Getting in the mood for Disney, the playlist consisted of J-Balvin and Hamilton to Moana, and The Little Mermaid. The two USB ports along with two outlets ensures everyone is well connected.

Driving at night was surely made easy with the LED lighting and automatic high beam. Paired wonderfully with safety features like blind spot warning and lane change assist. These added features are great to possess as you are traveling.

We started the rounds with Animal Kingdom where we enjoyed seeing a giraffe up close, had lunch with Mickey and friends, and ended our first night in Pandora the world of Avatar. Truly an amazing experience.

The next day we woke up to a quick breakfast before heading to Hollywood studios. Fans of Star Wars and Toy Story can surely have a wonderful time here. We watched many small shows and interactive attractions in the park. The Twilight Tower is a must. The attention to details in this park (pretty much all of Disney) is amazing. Walking through the crowd you might get pulled over by some stormtroopers. Beware.

The last park was the big one. Magic Kingdom. This park will make you believe. It truly is the happiest place on earth. From The Seven Dwarfs ride (my favorite)  to the midday parades and finishing with the fireworks over the castle, it was magical. We left the park at 1am; now that’s magic.

Three parks in three days. It was time to wave goodbye to Mickey and Friends and off to MIA for some turkey.

While waiting for the turkey to defrost and marinate we drove out to South Beach for some R&R under the sun. Even got a swim in as the water was just right.

The last night we drove to Miami hot spot Pincho Factory. Watch out Shake Shack. This place has a burger with fried cheese, like the one you find on a tres golpes plate. I had the burger paired with the Pincho Beer. A good combo.

Florida, it was real. Until next time.
